3 Months!
Wow, it's been awhile since I posted. Sorry about that folks. Most of you are already aware of the ridiculous weather we've been having. 5 inches of snow overnight, 4 ice days last week and another yesterday. (You'd think I could have found time to write a new post). Craziness, I'm telling you! I thought we lived in Texas? We didn't document the snow days with Evan since he's had a cold and I've been desperately trying to get rid of it before his 3 month pictures this Sunday. I can't believe how much he's changing and the new things he's picking up. It's amazing!!!
Motor Skills:
*He can pick up objects that are laying next to him. He loves to play with his Oball, Skwish toy and his rattle. He's also very fond of his playmat and batting at the fun objects hanging from his carseat caterpillar (thanks Uncle EJ for buying something to keep me occupied in the car). His hands/toys are in his mouth all the time and he drools CONSTANTLY. We're beginning to wonder if he may be teething already. Yikes.
*We get more and more smiles from him. I like to start far away and inch closer and closer to his face and smooch him on the lips or nuzzle/kiss him on his neck. I guess I've done it so many times he's picked up the movement and now when anyone leans in he immediately opens his mouth! He knows a kiss is coming and he's ready for it!
Visual/Hearing Skills:
*He can find Blake and I in a room. Grandpa is good about praising him when he can find Mommy in a room by listening to the sound of my voice.
*He can hold his head at 90 degrees when he's on his tummy.
*He's also getting better about being by himself. We usually leave him in our room propped up on my pillow watching cartoons while we get ready. Phineas and Ferb is a favorite. The tv will occupy him for about 15 minutes, which is nice for us. He loves his Bumbo, too. I think he just needs to be able to see what's going on.
Verbal Skills:
*Evan is a talker (like Daddy). He is very good about responding when you have a conversation with him. He can utter a 2 syllable word that sounds like "ah-goo" and he has lots of other noises/sounds he likes to make. We joke that one of them sounds like "Momma" when he gets upset. We also think it's funny when we ask him a question and it sounds like he's saying NO!
(We love bathtime now, but we DO NOT like getting out of the tub and putting clothes on! Hence the pouty bottom lip!)
